Kia ora, I’m Elizabeth Murtagh, a freelance medical writer based in Christchurch, New Zealand.

My therapeutic area of interest is women’s health, including endometriosis, menopause and reproductive health, although my work spans a broad range of therapeutic areas, including oncology, endocrinology, mental health and neurology.

I write across a range of formats, from research manuscripts to patient and healthcare professional education to magazine features and other long-form health content. My favourite types of projects are those that give me the opportunity to translate the research and communicate complex science in a way that people actually want to read.
